From the Friends
The Friends celebrated 25 years of service at a reception at the library on Sunday, October 6th, 2002.  Food, fellowship, and Friends' memorabilia provided a festive atmosphere.
A high point of the afternoon was presentations of Life Membership Awards for service to two special Friends:  Tan Brown and Cottie Mosely.  Tan was the guiding light  behind the organization of the Friends in 1977 and served as the first President. Cottie has served on the board and as Treasurer and has tirelessly promoted the library.
