By the Numbers
Twenty-five years.

A quarter of a century.

A silver anniversary.

May, 1977, was a watershed in the history of the Fairfield County Library.

Twenty five years! Two important events date from that month:
  • The Friends of the Fairfield County Library organized, and
  • The library moved into its new building on the corner of Garden and Washington Streets.

Time flies, doesn't it?!

Reception Honors Shirley Hildebran

Friends, family, and Library Commission and staff members gathered on March 18th at the library to celebrate Shirley Hildebran's retirement.

Shirley, Library Commission Chairman Dr. Clyde McCants and Library Director Sarah McMaster share a laugh over pictures of Shirley's various Halloween costumes over the years.

Fairfield School District media specialists Harriett Pauling and Frances O'Neal present Shirley with a gift.

Delicious refreshments were provided by the Friends of the Library.
