From the Friends
The Friends of the Library will hold its Annual Meeting on Sunday, April 29, 2001, at 4:00 p.m. at the library.

A brief business meeting will include election of officers and will be followed by refreshments.

Mark Twain (aka George Frein from Greenville, South Carolina) will be on hand to help celebrate the 125th anniversary of the publication of
The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.  The program title is Mark Twain: A Literary Autobiography.

After his talk Mr. Twain has agreed to answer questions and visit with those attending.

George Frein, Ph.D as Mark Twain.George Frein, Ph.D is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy and Religion at the University of North Dakota where he taught for 29 years.  He is presently Adjunct Professor of Religion at Furman University in Greenville.

 

Don't forget that May is the month to renew your membership in the Friends of the Library.  Membership forms are available at the library.
